Creating a unified digital platform

Pilgrim’s Europe needed a new website that could bring several existing businesses together under one clear, confident and easy-to-understand digital presence. The project was an opportunity to create a more joined-up platform that better reflected the scale, strength and reputation of the organisation. The new website needed to feel modern and engaging, while still giving each part of the business and its well-known consumer brands the space to be recognised.

A key focus for the project was making the website useful and appealing for a wide range of visitors, particularly people exploring career opportunities. With brands such as Moy Park, Richmond, Denny and Fridge Raiders already familiar to many, the site needed to use that recognition to build trust, pride and connection. By creating a clearer user experience, a dedicated careers area and stronger brand storytelling, the new platform would help Pilgrim’s Europe showcase who they are, what they offer and why people may want to work with or for them.

Combining bold visual design with a clear user experience

A major focus of the design and build process was finding the right balance between Pilgrim’s Europe as the overarching organisation and the individual brands that sit within it. To achieve this, we created a visual direction that feels bold, vibrant and engaging, making use of Pilgrim’s Europe’s brand colours, textures, large typography, and impactful imagery and video to bring energy to the site.

We also focused heavily on creating a clear and intuitive navigation structure. With a wide range of audiences visiting the site, from customers and suppliers to partners and stakeholders, it was important that users could quickly understand who Pilgrim’s Europe are, explore their brands and find the information most relevant to them. To support this, we introduced a language dropdown for the French side of the business, helping make the website more accessible and useful for international visitors.

The contact section was also designed to be more than a standard enquiry page. We introduced an interactive locations map that brings together the different Pilgrim’s Europe companies and facilities in one place. Users can filter locations by what each branch does, making it much easier to find the right site, team or area of the business.

Behind the scenes, the website was built with flexibility in mind. The CMS gives the Pilgrim’s Europe team greater control over their content, making it easier to manage pages, update brand information, share news and keep the website current as the organisation continues to grow and evolve.

The Results

The finished website gives Pilgrim’s Europe a stronger, more joined-up digital presence that reflects the scale, personality and ambition of the organisation. It brings their brands, locations and key business information together in one clear and accessible platform, making the site easier for users to explore and easier for the team at Pilgrim's Europe to manage.
