When did you join Green17, and what stood out about us to make you want to join?
I joined Green17 in early October 2020. Emma and Adrian were both very easy to talk to during my interview and, as someone who came from a completely different background, were willing to give me the opportunity to pivot. I will always be extremely grateful for that.
What does your role at Green17 involve, and what are you most enjoying working on right now?
As a developer my role involves finding solutions, whether that’s building something new from the ground up or improving an existing system. I’m currently working across a number of exciting projects. I enjoy both the challenge and the continuous learning that comes with that
What do you like most about being part of the Green17 team?
Free coffee. I jest, it’s people that make a thing special. At Green17 I am very fortunate to work with a great bunch of people in an atmosphere that is friendly, supportive, collaborative and forward thinking. And free coffee.
Is there a particular project thats stood out to you during your time here, and why?
In the best possible way I can’t say that there has been one solitary project that has stood out, simply because I have been involved in so many great (and challenging) projects.
When you’re not working, what do you like to do in your free time?
I read a lot, movies, music… the usual things really. Writing has been my creative outlet since primary school so I always carve out time in my day for it. I also enjoy getting out and about, working in the garden and trying to get fit (or trying to convince myself that I enjoy it!).
If your career so far had a soundtrack, what song would be the anthem?
Go with the Flow by Queens of the Stone Age. It’s a song about forward motion no matter what. Committing to something and choosing not to quit the moment the going gets tough.
