What is your role at Green17?

I’m the Managing Director at Green17, which means I have a variety of roles - overseeing the day-to-day running of the business, managing finances and client accounts, and being part of the accessibility team.

When and why did you join Green17, and what is your background?

I’ve been part of Green17 since 2007, when my husband Adrian founded the business. In the early days, I supported the business alongside my full-time role as a primary school teacher whilst completing a Master's degree in Special Educational Needs -  so it was a bit of a juggle!

Over time that balance shifted and I made the leap to join Green17 full-time in 2018. Building the business together has been incredibly rewarding (even if it does mean we talk about work more than we probably should!).

What do you like most about working at Green17?

We have an amazing team and I love seeing their skills, confidence and careers develop over time. There is a lovely atmosphere in our studio, always busy and buzzing. It's a bit quieter than the classroom, but that's a good thing! I also really value the relationships we build with our clients. We get to work with amazing organisations, and it’s a lovely feeling knowing the work we do genuinely helps others.

When you’re not working, what do you like to do in your free time?

Life outside work is very much busy family life, being a taxi service to my two boys and keeping up with our pup, Milo - our official Green17 mascot.

When I do get a bit of time, I love catching up with friends, going to the theatre or concerts, and spending far too much money on essential fancy coffees.

What are you most excited about in the near future at Green17?

I’m really excited to see how we all continue to grow - our team, our clients and as individuals. It feels like a very exciting time for us all in digital development, everything is moving so quickly and there’s so much to look forward to.

If your career so far had a soundtrack, what song would be the anthem?

I’m a total musicals superfan, and my favourite line is in the song 'For Good' from Wicked: “I’ve heard it said, that people come into our lives for a reason, bringing something we must learn.”

I feel really fortunate to have met many amazing people throughout my career, from whom I’ve learned so much. And there’s always more to learn, which I love.
