What's your role at Green17?
At Green17, I wear many hats. As a founder and a director, I have the responsibility of overseeing a range of operations from sales to design, right through to the production of websites and digital marketing for our clients. We are a digital agency specialising in web design, development, digital marketing, and online strategy, serving a diverse range of sectors from public sector bodies and charities to large private sector organisations.
When did you start working at Green17?
The journey began when I founded the company and has been an exciting ride ever since. It's been incredibly rewarding to see the company grow and evolve, providing solutions for our diverse clients over the years.
What is your background?
My background is a unique blend of creativity and technology, my two passions. In fact, if technology wasn't my profession, it would undoubtedly be a hobby I'd be exploring outside of work. I'm always intrigued by new technology, and I enjoy the challenge of understanding how it works. This curiosity led me to pursue a career that fuses creativity with digital technology. My academic journey involved studying Visual Communication in university, which has significantly influenced my professional path.
What's been your favourite project so far at Green17?
Choosing a favourite is a tough call as each project brings its unique charm and challenges. However, I do have a soft spot for projects where our team gets to solve complex problems for our clients. These solutions range from creating visually stunning websites with delightful animations to automating processes and using artificial intelligence that saves our clients valuable time and money. What's most exciting is the use of cutting-edge technology, which allows us to continually improve and make each project better than the last.
What do you like most about working at Green17?
What I appreciate the most about working at Green17 is the opportunity to continually explore new technologies. There's always excitement in discovering what our innovative team can dream up to solve both technical and design challenges. The prospect of new technology and the chance to implement it in creative ways is what makes each day exciting.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
When I'm not diving into the world of technology and creativity at Green17, I love engaging in outdoor sports. Mountain biking, surfing, and running are some of my favourites. I also take great pleasure in getting my hands dirty with DIY projects. Seeing something come to life, whether it's a new digital solution at work or a hands-on project at home, is incredibly rewarding for me.
